Whether you simply want a sunny day on the beach, or you're seeking more traditional Christmas pastimes, such as ice-skating or winter wonderland events, there's something for all the family.

Read on to find out more about the top events in Florida that will fill you with holiday cheer this Christmas...

Walt Disney World: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

One of the highlights of Disney's annual calendar, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place in the Magic Kingdom at the Orlando park.  Experience amazing fireworks, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime parade, festive lights adorning the fantasy castle and many Christmas shows.  The live entertainment includes Celebrate the Season stage shows and character dance parties, with the likes of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto and more famous Disney legends.

Legoland Florida: Christmas Bricktacular

The newest theme park in central Florida hosts its annual Florida Christmas Bricktacular, promising fun for all the family.  A huge 30ft tall Christmas tree and life-size Santa Claus made from Lego greet visitors, along with an assortment of festive decorations. Activities will include holiday-themed scavenger hunts, a chance to meet Lego Santa and the Toy Soldiers and a building session with Lego Master Model Builders.  There will also be colourful fireworks displays accompanied by classical music.

Celebration: Now Snowing

If you can't stand the thought of Christmas without snow, visit the town of Celebration - for the closest thing you'll get to a white Christmas! Enjoy fake snow in flurries across the Florida sky, sing along with carol singers Charles Dickens-style, take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage or on the Celebration Express train, try your hand at ice skating, and enjoy live festive performances. You can even have your photo taken with Santa Claus and take home some lasting memories of this picturesque town.  The "snowfall" takes place every night from 6pm until 9pm.

Gaylord Palms, Orlando: Ice!

Gaylord Palms hosts the second annual Ice event, featuring Christmas Around the World depicted in awesome displays of interactive ice sculptures - visitors will even receive complimentary coats and gloves! Entertainment includes a stunning light show, ice slides, live performances and a "meet and greet" with characters from DreamWorks productions.
