Tranquility Villa Rental

Welcome to Tranquility!

Ideally placed to explore the Gulf Coast in the south west of Florida, this 4-bedroom 3-bathroom villa is perfect for not one but TWO family groups or smaller parties. Fully furnished throughout to a high standard in traditional Floridian style, you are in a peaceful location with stunning views overlooking Pine Valley Creek and a nature reserve. All within an easy drive away are white sandy beaches, Anna Marie Island to the north and Fort Myers, Naples to the south.

Our fully equipped kitchen also provides a more casual dining area with a table and 4 chairs and 4 bar stools.

DINING

This room is not just a dining room but also a second lounge and has a table and seating for six for those more formal occasions.

LOUNGE

With TWO separate lounges one of which has a 40-inch TV, DVD and CDs, you can watch 200 channels including NBC sports which also shows premiership football. There is also a portable radio for your enjoyment. The other lounge is ideal if you just want to relax and serves as a dining room.

INTERNET

With the wireless internet access that we have installed for your convenience you can even sit on the lanai and surf the net.

OUTSIDE

Outside you will find a gas barbeque, spacious lanai and extended pool deck waiting for you. Lounge on the four sunbeds and soak up some rays next to the electrically heated 14 x 26-foot pool. A fan of al fresco dining? Then use the large table with seating for 8 and enjoy the view looking out down the meandering canal and nature reserve and you may just catch sight of Eagles, Herons and Egrets that regularly fly overhead. The pool also has a child barrier to keep the little one’s safe.

LAUNDRY

Completing the accommodation is a separate utility room with washer and dryer, Iron and Iron board for you to use.

ENTERTAINMENT

So, what’s on offer to keep us entertained? We have provided books, puzzles and games for you to enjoy whilst you are in the villa.

Exploring further afield? Then you could try out the six golf courses in the area or the other 30 if you want to travel within a 15 – 20-mile radius. If you are here between May to October, then the courses are quieter and tee times can usually be arranged the same day. Many courses provide electric golf carts as part of the fee. You can even walk to the clubhouse of Long Marsh Golf in 7 minutes or to the new 9-hole course within 5 minutes in the other direction.

I’m a fan of dining out, what’s available? There are numerous restaurants and it’s not expensive eating out here, but if you are prepared to pay a little more than you can explore Port Charlotte and Boca Grande for some excellent places to dine. If you like a good steak, try Prime Time which also serves Mexican. There is plenty to suit all tastes and pockets in Englewood approximately 15 minutes away. In the villa you will find a folder with some menus from different restaurants in the area which we and previous guests have visited.

For a more relaxed meal overlooking Lemon Bay try out the Fishery, it does look a bit ramshackled from the outside, but the setting is wonderful and the food is good. Take a walk after your meal along the path next to the restaurant that leads to a public fishing pier before sunset and you may catch sight of dolphins or birds flying to the small islands to roost for the night.

Sharkey's On The Pier, is right on Venice Beach, looking out on to the Gulf of Mexico. This can be great for lunch or evening meal; however, alcohol is expensive but soft drinks are reasonable and the food is good.

Shopping is my thing, what’s around? Port Charlotte has its own mall with several big store's such has Macy's and JC Penny. Venice is just a few miles up the road and there are two discount outlet malls, one to the north in Ellenton and one to the south, Miromar, near Fort Myers. Between them they offer over 400 outlets!

Do you like to be a bit more active? Attractions are available that don't damage the relaxed and leisurely pace of life in Charlotte County, voted best small place to live in the south of the USA. You can kayak up the Myakka River, visit the Shell Factory, take a day to tour Captiva and Sanibel islands, visit nature reserves or even take a trip on a swamp buggy. You will leave Florida with more things on your list to do next time than you started with at the beginning of your visit.

We have a very helpful and efficient management company, who look after the maintenance of the property, including weekly pool service, lawn maintenance and cleaning both before and after your stay. In addition to office hours for general help and advice about the villa and the area, they are available 24 hrs a day in case of emergencies.

Rental Rates are from£795 / $1200 per week and prices include taxes and cleaning.

Pool heating if required is £65 / $90 per week. Special rates are available for last minute bookings and those of 3 weeks or more so just ask.

We will take bookings for a minimum of 5 nights (not peak season) but cleaning costs will be extra for any bookings for less than a week £70 / $120.

Depending on party size and season, we do sleep a maximum of 8 however we get bookings from parties of 2 who appreciate the space.

LOCATION

Pine Valley is located on the south west coast of Florida on the Cape Haze Peninsular, often referred to as Florida's hidden secret, or the real Florida, near the beachside town of Englewood. Tampa Airport is 1.5 hours and Fort Myers (1 hour). We’ve called our villa Tranquility because it is in such a peaceful spot as many of our guest comments have referred to.

The climate is very pleasant with year-round good weather being one of the main reasons for Florida's popularity. The heat is often relieved by inshore breezes from the Gulf which provide a welcome break. When it does rain, it’s usually in short bursts, sometimes for as little as a few minutes, often in late afternoon or early evening and can be accompanied by spectacular lightning storms. The average temperature is around 80 degrees.

The soft Gulf beaches stretch for miles and never seem to be crowded. If you prefer a more Caribbean style setting, then visit Gasparilla Island. This place is caught in a time capsule and hosts multi-million dollar properties and exciting beaches share their treasure chests of shells and fossilised sharks teeth.

Fishing is a 'must' for the enthusiast and each year, the Tarpon game fish gather in the Boca Pass and offer great sport to both local and international anglers. The competitions are held just offshore, and spectators get a marvellous view of the boats from one of the lighthouses situated at the water’s edge. For a more peaceful day, anglers can take a boat out with local experts and enjoy catching a wide range of fish.

You will share the Gulf with pods of dolphins passing happily along the coast, gentle manatee and particularly birds such as the 'white pelican', cormorants and 'osprey'.
